StorMagic and Supermicro bolster edge HCI offerings amid VMware exodus
StorMagic, a provider of storage and security solutions for organizations with edge infrastructure, announced its SvHCI solution has been validated with three Supermicro IoT SuperServers for edge computing.
SvHCI is a full-stack HCI software solution combining SvSAN storage, a hypervisor, virtualized networking, and management tools, designed for edge, ROBOs, and SMBs.
The solution can be deployed on one or two servers for high availability and downtime elimination.
Supermicro IoT SuperServers validated include SYS-220HE-FTNR, SYS-210SE-31A, and SYS-110D-20C, supporting various edge applications like 5G and enterprise use cases.
“The SvHCI software stack was designed specifically for edge use cases and these environments need the fast, reliable and affordable servers that SuperMicro is known for,” says Bruce Kornfeld, chief product officer, StorMagic. “StorMagic is seeing massive exodus from VMware in the industry which is fueling the demand for SvHCI and the expansion of our hardware compatibility list with Supermicro will help us deliver what customers want.”
