Palo Alto Network, Skyhigh Security, Cloudflare tout recognition in Gartner Magic Quadrant SSE

Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity provider, has been recognized as a Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge (SSE) category leader. This technology refers to a convergence of network security services delivered from a cloud-based platform.

It is a subset of the SASE framework, also defined by Gartner as the combination of network security and networking capabilities. The company has become the only cybersecurity solutions provider leader in Magic Quadrant for SSE and SD-WAN.

“We are proud to be the only SASE provider to be recognized as a Leader in both the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge and SD-WAN,” says Kumar Ramachandran, the SVP for products, SASE, at Palo Alto Networks.

The Gartner 2022 Roadmap for SASE Convergence report predicts that by 2025, around 80% of enterprises will have implemented a strategy to integrate web, cloud services and private application access through a SASE/SSE architecture.

Palo Alto Network believes its zero-trust implementation through Prisma SASE has significantly improved its security solution.

Earlier this year, Palo Alto Network was positioned as a leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls for the eleventh consecutive year. The company recently announced the release of PAN-OS 11.0 Nova, which features an advanced WildFire cloud-delivery security service designed to combat zero-day vulnerabilities.

Skyhigh Security acknowledged as a visionary in Gartner Magic Quadrant for SSE

Skyhigh Security has been named a visionary in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SSE for its security solution, which includes Skyhigh SWG, Skyhigh CASB and Skyhigh Private Access. The company specializes in a Secure Service Edge portfolio, helping to protect enterprise data even when accessed from different devices and geographic locations.

“We have seen the rapid rise to success of our data-aware, global cloud security platform since we launched the company last year. With our comprehensive, converged approach to cloud security, we are confident we will continue our rapid growth trajectory,” says Gee Rittenhouse, the CEO of Skyhigh Security.

Cloudflare debuts in Magic Quadrant for SSE

Cloudflare wrote in a recent blog post that Gartner has also recognized Cloudflare in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant SSE report. The company says that the Cloudflare Zero Trust solution, which is part of the Cloudflare One platform, marks the only new vendor addition. The company is listed in the “niche” players quadrant, due in part to having only recently acquired some of the functionality Gartner has included in the category.
