LightEdge upgrades enterprise cloud offering for multi-cloud deployments
Cloud and colocation provider LightEdge has announced the launch of its latest cloud offering to date, LightEdge Cloud.
The solution combines the scalability of the public cloud with security features typically associated with the private cloud, layering in the company’s connectivity suite, according to LightEdge.
Key features of LightEdge Cloud include end-to-end management by data center and cloud engineers, spend optimization, and capabilities to support enterprise workloads, including VMware-based, IBM-based, and container-based workloads. The company claims the solution is backed by a 100% uptime guarantee.
Speaking about the cloud offering, LightEdge CEO Jim Masterson, says: “The enterprise leaders we work with today want cloud management they can trust, with a high degree of visibility and security.

The cloud offering also includes an integrated VMware Cloud Director portal for its customers to observe, monitor, and manage multi-cloud environments. The security features include microsegmentation, virtual firewall, built-in DDoS protection, and load balancing capabilities.
