ExtraHop, Netskope unveil Zero Trust extension for optimized security and performance

ExtraHop, a cloud-native network detection and response (NDR) provider, has partnered with Netskope to launch the ExtraHop Zero Trust extension.

This integration provides deep visibility into device and service behaviors, supporting enterprises on their zero-trust journey across various network environments.

Chris Kissel, the research vice president of security products at IDC, says: “Achieving a zero trust architecture is a priority for all enterprises, but selecting individual solutions and platforms that can work side-by-side to attain this framework can be a challenge.

“The ExtraHop Zero Trust Extension for Netskope will move enterprises a step ahead in their zero trust journey. By using Netskope Intelligent SSE and Reveal(x) together, enterprises will uplevel visibility into their networks to give security teams the opportunity to identify and stop threats with greater speed and efficiency.”

Netskope’s Cloud TAP collaboration aims to bridge the network visibility gap and empower zero trust architectures. By leveraging Reveal(x), ExtraHop’s NDR platform, the companies say joint customers can swiftly identify and address security threats and performance concerns in remote traffic and cloud applications.

Andy Horwitz, the VP of business development and technology alliances at Netskope, says: “The 360-degree network visibility delivered by the Reveal(x) platform makes ExtraHop an ideal Netskope partner. As the analyst-validated leader in SSE, we will continue to accelerate innovation with ExtraHop.”

The companies claim that the ExtraHop Zero Trust Extension for Netskope bridges gaps in zero trust architectures, mitigates risks and provides visibility into previously inaccessible network segments. Additionally, the companies say the extension enables network telemetry for forensics and logging, increasing compliance posture.

Pete Lavache, the SVP of Product at ExtraHop, emphasizes the importance of comprehensive network telemetry for a robust cybersecurity strategy based on zero trust principles.

“The ExtraHop Zero Trust Extension for Netskope brings together two best-of-breed platforms that help organizations detect and contextualize anomalous activity,” he adds.

In 2022, Netskope also partnered with Telefónica Tech, a managed security services provider, to integrate security capabilities into its security edge service. The collaboration aims to enable Telefónica Tech’s enterprise customers, particularly in the public sector and large/mid-sized businesses, to secure cloud data and support their digital transformation efforts.
