Ericsson adds agentic AI to NetCloud for autonomous 5G enterprise networks

Ericsson has announced the addition of agentic AI to its popular NetCloud platform, which it states will be transformative for telco providers and enterprise 5G networking.

The agentic AI approach allows 5G enterprise networks to run themselves deploying, optimizing and operating autonomously.

ANA (AI Network Assistant) becomes a strategic co-operator with AI agents that deal with complex workflows, relieving IT/OT staff workloads, and increasing network reliability.

Highlights include self-service and automated correlation to surface issues for troubleshooting, multi-modal content generation, explainable AI support, enhanced AIOps insights for fault and performance analysis.

“By introducing agentic AI into NetCloud, we’re enabling enterprises to simplify deployment and operations while also improving reliability, performance, and user experience,” says Pankaj Malhotra, Head of WWAN & Security, Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions. “More importantly, it lays the foundation for our vision of fully autonomous, self-optimizing 5G enterprise networks that can power the next generation of enterprise innovation.”

In its press release last week, Ericsson claims a troubleshooting orchestrator (launching Q4 2025) will cut downtime and support cases by 20% or more

The integration of Ericsson Private 5G with NetCloud will deliver both lifecycle management and operator agility needed for enterprises to easily deploy and scale private cellular networks that are under their control, eliminating roadblocks to implementing a private 5G network.

The platform is scalable for multisite deployment, helping the enterprise to accelerate digital transformation and take full advantage of 5G.
