CoreSite and Zenlayer’s partnership brings Open Cloud Exchange to cloud networking, bare-metal cloud services

American Tower-owned data center operator CoreSite and global edge cloud service provider Zenlayer have entered a new partnership. Following the beginning of the collaboration, CoreSite customers will be able to access Zenlayer’s Cloud Networking and Bare Metal Cloud services via CoreSite’s Open Cloud Exchange infrastructure.

“Together, Zenlayer and CoreSite will make it easier and faster for businesses to build hybrid and multi-cloud solutions across the globe,” commented Zenlayer CEO Joe Zhu.

For context, CoreSite specializes in providing digital campuses with on-net, low-latency connectivity to main cloud availability zones, content delivery networks (CDNs), and network service providers across U.S. markets.

Zenlayer’s Cloud Networking, on the other hand, is an on-demand network-as-a-service (NaaS) designed to enable businesses to build private, full-mesh global networks in minutes.

By joining forces with Zenlayer, CoreSite will now enable its customers to connect directly to both public and private clouds, as well as enterprise software as a service (SaaS) solutions.

Since Cloud Networking also interconnects directly with Zenlayer’s Bare Metal Cloud,  CoreSite customers will be able to instantly deploy high-performance, dedicated servers in 58 cities across 30 countries.

“By adding Zenlayer to the Open Cloud Exchange, our customers can easily reach clouds and data centers in fast-growing emerging markets such as Asia-Pacific, India, Indonesia, and Brazil,” said CoreSite’s SVP of Sales and Marketing Maile Kaiser.

“And these services are highly scalable, with accelerated speed to market and reduced upfront costs.”

The partnership between the companies comes weeks after Zenlayer announced the closing of a supplemental round of funding that brought the company’s entire Series C financing round to $62 million.
