Colohouse consolidates bare metal and hosting offerings under one banner
Colohouse, a data center colocation, cloud and dedicated server provider, has made a strategic shift to consolidate its multifaceted offerings into one brand.
The data center provider is incorporating TurnKey Internet’s hosting and dedicated servers into the Colohouse portfolio. According to Colohouse, the company wants to better serve its expanding customer base by enhancing its capabilities and meeting diverse needs.
Jeremy Pease, CEO of Colohouse, emphasizes that the decision to unify the various services under the Colohouse brand was intended to minimize potential confusion. He highlights that the unified brand will continue to meet the demands of customers for cost-effective, high-performance and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
“This move also consolidates our internal functions, which will continue to improve the customer experience at all levels,” Pease comments.
In the wake of this consolidation, Colohouse’s full range of products are now available on its website. The company notes that customers who previously were using services from TurnKey Internet, a recent acquisition by Colohouse, will transition without any impact on their services. As a unified brand, Colohouse and TurnKey Internet customers will continue to receive support.
Colohouse will also provide a bare metal or dedicated server offering under the Colohouse brand. The company says this service meets customers’ needs for dedicated servers for demanding workloads. Colohouse executives emphasize that bare metal hosting offers high-performance hardware and superior reliability compared to virtualized environments.
Colohouse offers bare metal servers in data centers in Miami, Florida; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; Orangeburg, New York; Albany, New York; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
According to the company, bare metal servers provide high performance, value and security. With full access to physical hardware, including CPU and RAM, they offer flexibility and control over security settings, operating system, hardware configuration and applications.
In 2022, Colohouse expanded its Orangeburg, New York facility to meet higher regional demand. The upgrade includes 15,000 square feet of data center space, two data halls and over 1 MW of power. This expansion addresses customer demand, business growth and increased interest in its bare metal solution after acquiring TurnKey Internet.
