Colohouse expands New York data center to support demand
Colohouse added more space and power capacity to its flagship New York facility to meet high regional demand for its services.
The upgrade will add 15,000 square feet of data center space, two data halls, and over one megawatt of power in the flagship fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty data center in Orangeburg, New York.
The company says it made the expansion to satisfy demand from existing and new customers, new requirements for business growth, and high demand for its bare metal solution that is available through its recent acquisition TurnKey Internet.
John Bonczek, chief revenue officer of Colohouse, says the expansion will strengthen its presence in the New York and New Jersey markets. He further says, “We have seen significant recent leasing activity among all verticals, with a particular interest from the financial enterprises. Our Orangeburg facility is up to the task of meeting their strict security requirements, space, power, and connectivity needs. The Orangeburg facility is focused on creating an ecosystem of customers and interconnectivity that attracts top-tier customers.”
In 2021, Colohouse added seven U.S. metropolitan locations, totaling 26 locations in 21 cities across North America, Europe, and Asia.
