Zenlayer gets AWS CloudFront Ready designation, supports global delivery needs

Bare metal provider and edge cloud services provider Zenlayer announced it earned the Amazon CloudFront Ready designation, proving its network service is successfully integrated into CloudFront Ready. The combination of Zenlayer’s infrastructure and integration with the CloudFront CDN mean AWS customers can supplement cloud and delivery services more easily.

The designation highlights Zenlayer as a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network that can offer a product that integrates with Amazon CloudFront and is supported for AWS customers.

Given that Zenlayer offers cloud, content and application delivery services, integration with AWS CloudFront might not seem necessary. Zenlayer’s Director of Product Strategy, Ashlee Yang said the company had customers in streaming and gaming that needed support. She told EdgeIR that in one case, a leading provider of streaming online education services is using AWS CloudFront globally, but their operations in China were experiencing especially long loading times. “By combining AWS Cloudfront with Zenlayer’s global acceleration service (ZGA), plus cross border CDN provided by Zenlayer, the slow loading times were quickly resolved,” say says.

Amazon CloudFront Ready is part of the AWS Service Ready Program, which validates software products created by AWS partners that work on specific AWS services. Zenlayer offers an application acceleration platform named ‘Zenlayer Global Accelerator,’ which enables end-to-end acceleration without deploying infrastructure to secure connectivity.

“Zenlayer is proud to achieve Amazon CloudFront Ready status. By integrating our application acceleration service with Amazon CloudFront, we will enable AWS customers to deliver ultra-low latency, real-time digital experiences for their end users worldwide, especially in emerging markets,” says David Xie, chief product officer of Zenlayer.

Other companies that have acquired Amazon CloudFront Ready designation include Cequence Security and Cloudinary.
