Zededa rolls out full-stack edge Kubernetes to tackle large-scale AI deployments
Zededa, a provider of edge management and orchestration software, launched Edge Kubernetes App Flows, the first full-stack Kubernetes-as-a-Service solution for edge deployments. The offering is specifically built for AI-driven applications, streamlining edge functions with automation of application lifecycle processes including packaging, configuration, delivery and observability reducing the amount of manual work required.
It can handle large scale deployments across thousands of edge clusters (even under intermittent connections) and it seeks to bring AI processing closer to the data source, cutting down on cloud data transfer costs.

Built on Zededa’s zero-trust edge platform, it provides security, offline resilience, and the ability to scale from tens of thousands of devices up to Kubernetes instances.
Highlights of the offering include GitOps-driven continuous delivery, dynamic observability, flexible application definitions and hardware independence for edge AI workloads. The solution tackles challenges that are specific to the edge environments, in terms of resources constraints, transient connectivity and requirements for secure, scalable operation.
The Zededa Edge Kubernetes App Flows feature is generally available now and can be easily added to current Zededa deployments for use with lightweight Kubernetes distributions such as K3s.
It is especially useful for manufacturing, retail, transportation and energy organizations for deploying intelligent workloads without the added pressure of complexity.
Zededa recently expanded its leadership team with key C-suite appointments to meet growing global demand for edge AI solutions.
