Zededa promises Edge Application Services will transform edge management

Zededa, an edge orchestration provider, unveiled a new suite of services dubbed Zededa Edge Application Services. The latest offering aims to grant customers control over their edge applications, including modern AI-based applications.

Said Ouissal, founder and CEO of Zededa, commented on the launch: “Just as we saw with the cloud providers in the early days, it is time for the edge market to evolve beyond just infrastructure and begin to offer value-added services.”

He further notes that Zededa Edge Application Services allows customers to easily manage, configure and control their edge applications by leveraging the Zededa ecosystem.

Zededa executives say the introduced portfolio of services caters to the specific requirements of every customer and deployment. This suite encompasses remote access, inventory and configuration management and Kubernetes management. Leveraging Zededa’s edge orchestration solution, these services promise to offer cost reduction alongside enhanced security, visibility and control.

The first service rolled out under the new suite is Zededa Edge Access. Zededa Edge Access enables IT administrators and platform operations teams to connect to remote devices from anywhere at any time effortlessly. With its security measures, user sessions are fully encrypted without requiring complex configurations or specialized skills, Zededa says.

In addition to its robust security features, Zededa says its Edge Access Service provides precise user control and access. These features permit customers to securely authorize third-party access to their edge infrastructure securely, facilitating safe troubleshooting of any application issues by software vendors or developers.

In June, Zededa partnered with AI EdgeLabs to develop a security solution designed to meet the challenges of distributed edge environments. The collaboration integrates Zededa’s edge orchestration and management capabilities with AI EdgeLabs’ autonomous security technology.

As a result, organizations will have access to an AI-based solution that can effectively manage and secure both physical and virtual edge environments on a large scale, according to Inna Ushakova, the CEO of AI EdgeLabs.
