Zededa adds a new edge computing certification to its roster
Zededa, an edge infrastructure orchestration provider, has launched a new certification for companies expanding their use of edge computing.
The company says that the Zededa Certified Edge Computing Associate (ZCEA) certification is available to those interested in learning about the fundamentals of the edge computing industry.
ZCEA is the latest addition to Zededa’s certification program, which also includes the company’s Zededa Certified Edge Orchestration Professional (ZCEP) certification for administrators to demonstrate their competency in the complete Zededa solution.
The new course is free and vendor-agnostic, with Zededa mentioning that the certificate can be shared on resumes, online profiles and job boards.
Commenting on the new certification, Kevin Freitas, senior director, learning and edge academy, said: “As a leader in the industry, ZEDEDA is well-positioned to educate people in the value, challenges, and key industries poised to benefit.
“We’re excited to launch this new certification to share edge computing essential knowledge as this aligns perfectly with our commitment to being leaders in the Edge Management and Orchestration market.”
Details about ZCEA, including exam blueprints, prep materials and instructions on how to get certified, are available at ZEDEDA Edge Academy, with the company revealing that those interested in getting certified can enroll and register for an exam date and time.
In 2022, Zededa announced Zededa Edge Academy, the industry’s first learning center for edge computing. What followed in 2023 was the launch of the ZEDEDA Certification Program (ZCP), a certification for customers, partners and employees that want to validate their knowledge and skills with Zededa’s edge management and orchestration solution.
These certification programs come as the worldwide edge computing market is projected to reach $274 billion by 2025, according to Statista. Edge computing deployments are finding their way into an increasing number of businesses, as a Gartner report says that the amount of enterprise-generated data created and processed outside a traditional centralized data center or cloud is expected to grow from about 10% currently to 75% in 2025.
