Vercara unveils new edge platform promising enhanced web performance and security
Vercara, a provider of cloud-based services, has announced the launch of an edge platform that includes a Content Delivery Network (CDN), integrated application security, and edge computing.
UltraEdge works by speeding up time to market for new applications, according to the company. Powered by Edgio and supported through Vercara’s Security Operations Center (SOC), the edge platform also safeguards application environments from internet-based threats.
Recent research conducted by Vercara found that 75% of consumers would sever ties with a brand that experienced an impactful cyber incident. As a result, Vercara boasts its platform aims to meet customer demand for fast web experiences.
Other features of the edge platform includes protection against a range of threats including DDoS attacks, OWASP top 10 and vulnerability-based threats to applications and APIs, as well as fraudulent activities from malicious bots.

The edge platform comes in three packages, to which the company notes all tiers offer the ability for users to create and deploy websites with web hosting and development tools.
