Vecow unveils new multi-touch panel PC with Arm-based tech

Vecow, an embedded solution provider, has launched its latest product, the MTA-1010W Multi-Touch Computer.

According to James Chen, the product manager of the embedded system & platform division at Vecow, the device is used for various applications, including vending machines, smart buildings and AIoT/industry 4.0 applications.

“Vecow MTA-1010W is a new addition to the Vecow Industrial Multi-Touch Computer family, which is powered by NXP i.MX 8M Plus Processor with excellent graphics performance and low power consumption,” adds Chen.

The company claims the 10.1-inch industrial computer delivers up to 2.3 TOPS of AI performance, and it enables AI and industrial applications at the edge.

Vecow notes that the industrial device has a range of power inputs and a fanless design. The technology operates in harsh environments and is suitable for applications like in-vehicle, smart factory, self-service and medical charting. The company says it offers Android and Linux OS options.

The Vecow MTA-1010W also features a 4-core cortex-A53 processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and real-time control capabilities. With LPDDR4 SDRAM and TSN technology, the company says it offers industrial reliability and robust control networks. The MTA-1010W additionally has a user-friendly front panel with a flat and 10-point projected capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch screen.

The MTA-1010W has I/O options and offers wireless connectivity, including 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, GPRS and UMTS. With GigE LAN supporting TSN, it enables real-time Ethernet communication, the company says. The MTA-1010W also supports flexible mounting options such as the Panel mount and VESA mount.

”With the power of Arm technology, the MTA-1010W provides our global customers with flexibility and scalability to adapt it for their applications,” adds Joseph Huang, the sales lead at Vecow.

According to Vecow, its company is committed to delivering quality AIoT solutions. Its products, which range from AI-ready inference systems to computing systems, serve diverse industries like machine vision, autonomous cars and deep learning.

Vecow and Stereolabs recently partnered to combine Vecow edge AI computing systems with Stereolabs’ ZED stereo cameras. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of spatial AI applications for industries such as autonomous robots, mobile mapping, smart manufacturing, and digital twin applications.
