Vecow, Allxon collaborate to deliver remote management solutions for edge AI

Vecow, an embedded computing solutions provider, has partnered with Allxon, a remote device management platform provider, to deliver remote device management of Vecow’s edge computing hardware platform. This collaboration involves the integration of Allxon’s SaaS-in-Chip into Vecow’s EAC-5000, enabling remote management of edge AI devices.

“Our partnership with Allxon delivers an easy monitoring and control solution for Edge AI appliances anywhere, anytime while ensuring all Edge AI devices are reliable and robust,” says Thomas Su, Vice President of Vecow.

The Vecow EAC-5000 series uses the Nvidia Jetson Platform, which provides server-class AI performance. This hardware platform can deliver advanced machine-learning capabilities for in-vehicle computing and real-time video analytics. The EAC-5000 series, in particular, is equipped with out-of-band remote management technology, which allows for disaster recovery in edge applications.

The Allxon remote device management solution combines in-band management, out-of-band management and plugin stations. Out-of-band management technology offers service providers an effortless way to power devices on and off remotely, allowing them to quickly restore systems to working condition.

“We are thrilled that Vecow has launched their high-performing AI computing system, EAC-5000, with Allxon Saas-In-Chip integrated on-board to bring remote edge AI device management services to their users for competitive edge AI application,” says Alex Liu, CEO of Allxon.

What is out-of-band remote device management for edge computing?

An out-of-band remote device management solution allows operators to manage and debug edge devices remotely, even if the device does not connect to the primary network. This type of remote device management establishes a secondary network connection between the IT management platform and the remote edge device. Critical systems requiring remote management, such as industrial automation and healthcare, commonly use this hardware technology.

“With Vecow and Allxon as a turnkey solution, together, we look forward to seeing how we may help service integrators save exponential costs on device operations, particularly in smart transportation, the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) industry, and on many more edge AI applications,” Liu adds.
