Vapor IO names Rodney Foreman as Chief Revenue Officer

Vapor IO, a distributed and connected edge infrastructure provider, recently announced that it has appointed Rodney Foreman as Chief Revenue Officer. Foreman most recently served as CRO for Megaport, driving global sales and overseeing revenue growth of approximately 40% year-over-year.

“Rodney is a driven and passionate leader with the experience and focused skillset to grow revenue, lead sales execution, and boost our first-class customer experience while creating and executing our worldwide sales strategy and vision,” says Cole Crawford, the CEO of Vapor IO.

Foreman has also held several leadership roles at Fortune 500 and startup companies. He has led global teams in the SaaS, NaaS, software and services company sectors, including IR, Nutanix, Informatica and IBM.

“I am thrilled to join Vapor IO at such an exciting time as they expand their Kinetic Grid platform to meet the growing demand for edge services,” says Foreman. “Vapor IO’s ability to provide data sovereignty, observability, automation and last mile access is well ahead of other network solutions in the market and meets the needs of retail stores, manufacturers, and municipalities that are looking to transform their business with edge services.”

Vapor IO’s Kinetic Grid platform is available in 37 US markets, including their first seven operating markets: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Seattle. The Kinetic Grid platform combines neutral host colocation with software-defined interconnection, high-speed networking and telemetry-based intelligence to support third parties that deliver edge services.

The company is rolling out its thirty-seventh city, Barcelona, to provide data sovereignty, observability, automation and last-mile access solutions.

“Our vision is to build upon Vapor IO’s existing partnerships with a new and innovative coverage and business model that will accelerate adoption and reach,” states Foreman.

Last year, Compass Intelligence acknowledged Vapor IO with the 2022 Edge Computing Company of the Year award. The award recognized the company’s Kinetic Grid platform, the world’s first Open Grid network.
