Vapor IO and NVIDIA launch AI-Driven 5G edge deployment in Las Vegas
Vapor IO has launched the world’s first private 5G AI-RAN solution on its Zero Gap platform in Las Vegas. The solution utilizes NVIDIA AI Aerial technology to enhance telecommunications management and create new revenue opportunities.
Las Vegas is the first city to adopt this technology, aiming to become a leader in smart city innovations. The deployment will include thousands of cameras in 2025, optimizing real-time performance across the city.
“Vapor’s Zero Gap AI provides the automated infrastructure necessary to implement low-latency services, leveraging NVIDIA AI Aerial to enable voice, video, data and AI applications on a common platform. We have an operational business model that employs the principles of shared infrastructure to radically lower the complexity of deployment for our customers and partners,” said Cole Crawford, CEO and founder of Vapor IO.
NVIDIA AI Aerial is an open platform that integrates AI and RAN services, supporting future wireless standards like 6G. The collaboration allows for efficient deployment of AI-driven applications, enhancing smart city initiatives.
Vapor IO’s Zero Gap AI platform provides a multi-tenant infrastructure for telecom and cloud operators, simplifying nationwide edge service deployment.

The NVIDIA AI Aerial platform was recently showcased at Mobile World Congress in Las Vegas from October 8-10, 2024.
