StackPath offers tiered plans for WAF, broadens appeal to SMB market
Edge computing, CDN, and security company StackPath showed off a tiered subscription plan for its web application firewall (WAF).
The StackPath WAF, named ‘SP//WAF,’ comes from lowest to highest as: essential, professional, and enterprise. Each higher tier offers more monthly WAF usage and widened access to customized sanction screens, custom and advanced rules extensions, professional services, and technical support.
All of its WAF subscriptions carry protective applications and APIs against threats like automated traffic, layer 7 (L7) distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, and OWASP Top 10 threats.
The company also highlights the SP//WAF ease of use for businesses of all sizes, being functional “right out of the box”, customizable via custom rules editor and StackPath APIs, and including an edge security team and advanced threat intelligence system.
“Any business with a web application or API can be a target of malicious online activity. It’s not a question of whether a business needs protection, just how much and how difficult it will be to manage,” says Uzi Galili, director of security products at StackPath. “SP//WAF already delivers second to none capabilities with great cost-effectiveness. We’re excited to take that further with these new packages, providing even more protection per dollar with exceptional ease-of-use, flexibility, and scalability.”
