Schneider Electric, Compass Datacenters strengthen ties with $3 billion deal
Schneider Electric and Compass Datacenters are expanding their collaboration in a $3 billion agreement to meet the growing demand for data center technology. The partnership aims to enhance supply chain integration, streamline manufacturing processes and deliver innovative prefabricated modular solutions.
Aamir Paul, the president of Schneider Electric North America, notes: “The extension of our agreement to continue innovating will address future demands to serve customers in industries ranging from cloud and service providers to semiconductors and EVs, healthcare and telecommunication, among others.”
The announcement was made at Schneider Electric’s Capital Markets Day meeting with investors. Since partnering, Schneider Electric has delivered over 150 modular data center solutions to Compass. With the addition of the new Red Oak facility, which occupies 110,000 square feet, further growth is expected in response to the increasing demand for data centers.
According to the companies, the five-year vendor-supplier agreement will enable Schneider Electric and Compass Datacenters to offer scalable, modular data center solutions. The companies aim to deliver a simplified, streamlined design that businesses can quickly deploy across various environments.
The companies emphasize the importance of innovation in tackling the rising data generation and consumption in the expanding AI market. There is a demand for new data centers that can be efficiently standardized, manufactured and delivered at a lower cost.

Compass Datacenters introduced Compass Quantum in 2022, offering modular data centers as-a-service. Its White Space as a Service (WSaaS) includes 100kW modular data centers with a pay-as-you-go system. By focusing on sustainability and leveraging mass customization, Compass also aims to reduce costs in its facilities.
