Palo Alto Networks unveils AI-powered zero trust solution to secure 5G networks

Palo Alto Networks introduced Prisma SASE 5G, a cloud-native zero trust security solution designed to secure 5G networks and connected devices against evolving cyber threats.

The solution integrates with service providers’ 5G networks, offering global coverage, data sovereignty, and enhanced security for devices, users, and applications.

Prisma SASE 5G uses SIM-based authentication for secure connectivity and AI-powered threat detection to protect against zero-day attacks and malware.

Palo Alto Networks expanded its private 5G partnerships with companies like Nokia, NVIDIA, and NTT DATA to deliver comprehensive security solutions for enterprise 5G deployments.

“Wireless network demands are surging with 5G-connected devices, and at the same time, attackers are leveraging AI to create more sophisticated attacks that hit faster and harder than ever before,” says Anand Oswal, SVP and GM, Network Security at Palo Alto Networks. “Service providers have a profound opportunity to navigate the evolving threat landscape safely and securely by offering AI-powered zero trust security for their enterprise customers while addressing mobility needs. By utilizing our fully cloud-delivered solution with global coverage, service providers can provide data sovereignty, reliability, and industry-leading resilience to their enterprise customers — on any device, from anywhere.”

Key integrations include enhanced security for private LTE networks, industrial IoT devices, and edge AI, ensuring robust protection for critical infrastructure.

The company collaborates with partners like Singtel and Telenor to provide zero trust security and secure network slicing for enterprise customers.
