OSS receives Nvidia certification for edge supercomputer Rigel

One Stop Systems (OSS), an AI transportable solution provider for the edge, has announced that its Rigel edge system received Nvidia certification.

The company says this edge computing device is ideal for data-intensive applications and offers advanced performance capabilities in harsh environments.

“This highly valued Nvidia certification for Rigel advances our sales process with key prospects by providing our customers with peace of mind that their AI applications that are based on any Nvidia-supported framework will operate at the edge—inside land, sea and air vehicles—with similar results to what they expect in the data center,” notes OSS chief product officer, Jim Ison.

Meanwhile, Rigel is an edge-certified AI system with four Nvidia GPUs based on the HGX A100 platform. OSS and Nvidia have tested and certified it for performance, scalability, security and functionality. The Rigel edge supercomputer comes in air-cooled and liquid-cooled versions and the company says it’s suitable for deployments in tight spaces.

According to Nvidia, its certified systems enable businesses to securely deploy hardware solutions to run accelerated workloads from the desktop to the data center to the edge.

The Rigel edge supercomputer and other OSS products that accelerate autonomous vehicles will be showcased at the XPONENTIAL 2023 in Denver, Colorado, from May 9-11th.

The Rigel edge supercomputer was first unveiled at the SC21 international conference for high-performance computing in Missouri in late 2021.
