OneLayer promises to secure private 5G networks running on Druid Software

OneLayer, a provider of enterprise-grade security for private 5G networks, has partnered with Druid Software, a core cellular network software solution provider. OneLayer software integrates with Druid Software to provide a secure infrastructure for any private LTE network running on Druid’s core. The combined solution reduces security concerns for Druid’s clients.

Many large businesses are opting for private networks because of the many advantages, including enhanced reliability and connectivity of IoT devices. With a private network, companies also have access to dedicated bandwidth with extended capacity and range. The collaboration between OneLayer and Druid Software secures private cellular networks using the Zero Trust approach, cell and IoT device fingerprinting, policy enforcement and anomaly detection.

“By providing a much-needed security solution for Druid, we are giving users the confidence to invest in adopting an LTE/5G network that has the potential to take their business to the next level. We feel this first-hand through our own implementations and research,” said Dave Mor, CEO and co-founder of OneLayer.

In addition, OneLayer has announced that Druid’s core will be a part of its new 5G Security Lab. The company created a private 5G network security lab designed to mirror and simulate threat scenarios that could target an enterprise network.

The platform provides a simulated environment for cyber and telecommunication companies to understand security challenges and solutions better. OneLayer has teamed up with Nokia, Druid and Airspan in order to roll out private networks that are based on cores, units and IoT devices.

“Our clients rely on Druid for the quality of its Raemis core network,” said Tadhg Kenny, senior vice president of partnerships at Druid. “Now, with OneLayer’s additional levels of security, we will be providing an even more comprehensive product to serve their business needs.”

Recently, OneLayer secured $8.2 million in seed funding from various institutions and angel investors. The funding round was co-led by Grove Ventures and Viola Ventures, with participation from angel investors including Orca Security Guardicore, Palo Alto Networks and Epsagon.
