Neura Robotics lands $55 million to fuel AI and robotics advancements

Neura Robotics, a startup specializing in AI and robotics, has secured an additional $55 million. The funding will support Neura Robotics’ research and development initiatives, enable talent recruitment and fuel market expansion.

According to Neura Robotics, this investment will also support its geographical expansion and enable the scaling of its production infrastructure in Germany. The funding round was led by Lingotto, an investment management company owned by Exor NV, with additional participation from Vsquared Ventures, Primepulse and HV Capital.

“Neura Robotics is the first company we met that combines this technological vision and leadership with an open partnership model and such driving progress globally at a never-seen pace within robotics,” says Dr. Herbert Mangesius, the general partner at Vsquared Ventures.

Since its establishment in 2019, Neura Robotics has developed cognitive robots that can autonomously perceive and interact with their environment and individuals. Specifically, the company recently unveiled MAiRA, a commercial cognitive cobot that combines artificial intelligence with a wide range of sensors and embedded hardware, creating a platform for collaborative application development.

Neura Robotics also built a Neuraverse ecosystem to facilitate networking, collaboration and co-creating among various stakeholders. Neuro Robotics says it is an effective and sustainable model built upon a symbiotic network of partners. This global ecosystem fosters value creation and brings together capable collaborators. Together, they leverage the capabilities of cognitive robots to deliver impactful automation solutions for businesses and society, company executives say.

“Neura Robotics has been working to push the boundaries of innovation in robotics by rethinking the subject with artificial intelligence and a platform approach, ushering in a new era in robotics,” says David Reger, founder and chief executive officer of Neura Robotics.

“Today’s funding round enables us to keep up the pace in delivering on our visionary promises.”
