Netradyne adds driver privacy mode, new accident detection features to fleet safety platform

Netradyne has added new features revolving around new privacy measures, safety features, and an educational resource for drivers for its Driver-i vision and edge computing platform for commercial driver safety.

“The new enhancements announced today point to our ongoing investment in evolving our core product to meet the needs of the ever-changing fleet transportation landscape,” commented Avneesh Agrawal, CEO of Netradyne.

The first feature the company highlighted is an enhanced driver privacy mode that will allow the driver to set the inward camera to not record them. It will continue to offer in-cab alerts and fleet managers with inward alert data. The company described it as a “flexible option” for fleets whose drivers are sensitive to inward-facing cameras or fleets that are concerned about driver retention.

The update also adds the ability for fleets to distinguish between accidents and high G-force alerts for non-accident events. Netradyne says it combines its computer vision technology with g-force data, which provides more precise analysis for identifying vehicle collisions and alerting fleet managers who can respond quickly and appropriately.

The new features also add a portal that enables customers to create and assign new roles with permissions that are specific to the fleet; and a training program named ‘Netradyne University’ to give fleets and drivers access to free online course content, assignments, knowledge on new products, and become certified on Driver-i installation. Netradyne University will be available on the Driver•i platform portal.

The company recently partnered with Aim Transportation Solutions to provide its driver recognition and fleet safety solutions for Aim’s vehicle fleet.
