Matterport Arcadus team up to bring digital twin tech to U.S. government agencies

Arcadus recently became the first value-added reseller of Matterport for Government, offering Matterport’s digital twin platform to the United States public sector.

Arcadus will offer Matterport’s three core solutions in property marketing, design and construction and facilities management.

Jay Remley, Matterport’s chief revenue officer, says there is a substantial growth opportunity in the public sector.

“Our partnership with Arcadus adds more powder to our efforts to drive progress and excellence across the U.S. public sector, empowering federal, state and local U.S. agencies to revolutionize how they assess, manage, and optimize their spaces with our federally compliant digital twin platform,” adds Remley.

Arcadus specializes in 3D, spatial data and digital twin services. The company works across multiple sectors, including facilities, public safety, education, housing, conservation, energy, utilities, aerospace and defense, insurance and manufacturing.

Javan Clark, the founder and principal of Arcadus, highlights the user-friendly nature of Matterport’s hardware and software.

Matterport introduced its Matterport for Government SaaS offering in 2021, enabling federal agencies to evaluate, control and enhance the condition of their spaces online in a federally compliant cloud.

Matterport says it aims to transform the built world with its digital twin platform, enhancing the value and accessibility of every space.

In other news, the NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s C2SMARTER transportation center recently partnered with the FDNY to implement AI technology. The collaboration aims to minimize emergency vehicle response times in congested city streets and enhance urban emergency services.

The partnership aims to develop a digital twin that replicates neighborhood traffic flow. This virtual model enables analysis of emergency response delays and testing practical solutions. The digital twin offers advantages over traditional methods by avoiding costly infrastructure changes, fleet upgrades and disruptions to traffic.
