Juniper unveils AI-Native edge solution, unifying network and security ops

Juniper Networks has launched the Secure AI-Native Edge solution, integrating security and networking under a unified cloud and AI framework.

The solution combines Juniper Mist’s AI-Native network operations with advanced security measures, enhancing visibility and control across network domains. It addresses challenges of traditional security solutions, which often create silos and hinder performance, by simplifying and integrating operations.

The new Mist Security Assurance software subscription allows for centralized management of user authentication, application access, and traffic policies.

“Juniper is addressing the market’s demand for simplified management and enhanced collaboration by integrating its security products into the Mist Cloud, which will allow for seamless configuration and provisioning across network security (SSE, firewall) and enterprise networking (LAN/WLAN, branch, and data center) solutions, improving security posture, visibility, and control. By enhancing the Mist platform with these capabilities, Juniper is delivering more integrated enterprise networking solutions that align with the evolving needs of today’s digital-first enterprise,” said Mauricio Sanchez, Senior Research Director, Dell’Oro Group.

Juniper’s integrated SRX security has achieved a 99+ percent score in Cyber Ratings Enterprise Firewall tests, showcasing its effectiveness against threats.

The solution supports seamless deployment of Universal ZTNA (uZTNA) and enhances collaboration between security and network operations.

Industry experts highlight the need for integrated security solutions to combat evolving cyber threats while meeting digital transformation demands.

“The right data, the right real-time responses and the right infrastructure have been the foundational principles of Juniper’s AI-Native Networking Platform. Integrating cloud-based, intelligent and automated security management into the platform is a logical progression, enabling IT and security teams to make faster, data-driven security decisions and responses in lockstep with the network, devices, users and applications being protected. Time is the most precious currency in cybersecurity: faster time to detect, mitigate and time to resolve,” said Sujai Hajela, EVP and GM, AI-Driven Enterprise, Juniper Networks

Juniper’s AI-Native Networking Platform aims to provide faster, data-driven security responses, improving overall cybersecurity efficiency.

HPE acquired Juniper Networks in an all-cash deal for $14 billion at the start of 2024.
