IOTech launches Edge Central 4.0 to tackle industrial AI data demands at the edge

Key new features include Edge Alarm Service, Edge Historian Service, a Python SDK, PostgreSQL as the default database, time-based scheduling, and improved access control. Edge Central 4.0 aligns with EdgeX Foundry’s open-source standards, ensuring interoperability and flexibility for industrial applications.

Edge Central 4.0 is part of IOTech’s modular edge stack, which includes Edge Connect for connectivity and Edge Manager for orchestration and lifecycle management. The release is available immediately, empowering organizations to future-proof their industrial edge infrastructure with open-source, vendor-neutral solutions.
