Hivelocity enables self-service platforms with new network automation feature

Hivelocity has released new network automation capabilities on its dedicated servers, enabling customers to self-serve public and private network configurations through the portal and APIs. This includes Layer 2 VLANs, IPv4 subnets and Internet Gateways, allowing for speed and agility in application management, the company says.

“Companies want the price and performance of dedicated servers but with the full flexibility of the cloud,” says Zach Kazanski, the SVP of product at Hivelocity. “A key part of the cloud experience is fully automated and self-service networks.

According to Hivelocity, it also offers a self-healing network with over ten core locations,15 edge locations and 2 Tbps of transit capacity. The network comprises a mix of tier-1 carriers and public peering fabrics providing enterprise-grade performance and reliability.

Hivelocity says its data centers leverage proprietary software to route traffic over the most efficient paths, providing end users with a fast and reliable network experience.

“At Hivelocity, you can self-serve high-performance dedicated servers and your own network infrastructure,” adds Kazanski. “Ultimately, this reduces compute costs and frees up valuable time to spend on what matters most: developing and deploying your applications.”

Hivelocity was recently in the news for announcing a channel partner program enabling partners to deploy and modernize their clients’ infrastructure with a reliable and cost-efficient pricing model.
