Edge AI market to hit $157B by 2030, driven by manufacturing and computer vision
The global edge AI market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 19%, reaching USD 157 billion in revenue by 2030, up from USD 54 billion in 2024, noted in a new forecast by STL Partners. Manufacturing, retail, and transport sectors will dominate edge AI adoption, with manufacturing alone accounting for over 35% of the market by 2030.
Computer vision will lead the market, representing more than half of the edge AI revenue by the end of the decade.
STL Partners predicts that on-premise edge deployments will be preferred due to its advantages in security, low latency, and cost efficiency for enterprises.

East Asia & Pacific, Europe & Central Asia, and North America currently dominate the market but will see reduced shares as other regions adopt and embrace edge AI. AI-driven applications will also grow in importance, with AI directly contributing to 72% of edge AI revenue by 2030.
Collaboration between software vendors and hardware manufacturers is key to driving enterprise investment in edge AI solutions.
