Dell and Hyundai AutoEver tap into factory processes with edge AI technologies

In a bid to transform factory processes and streamline operations, Dell Technologies is joining forces with Hyundai AutoEver and Intel to enhance their edge partner ecosystem. This strategic collaboration aims to empower manufacturers to leverage AI and derive maximum value from their edge data.

Hyundai AutoEver, a subsidiary of the automotive giant Hyundai, specializes in smart factory solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing IT and OT infrastructure. Their NeoFactory IoT software, when combined with Dell’s validated design for manufacturing edge, offers manufacturers a toolset to drive AI-driven optimizations across their factory floors.

According to the company, the integration of Hyundai AutoEver’s solutions with Dell’s validated design enables plant managers to monitor equipment performance in real-time, identify anomalies, and implement predictive maintenance measures. This translates to reduced downtime, increased productivity, and significant cost savings by eliminating process waste.

Furthermore, Dell’s NativeEdge platform aims to ensure simplified infrastructure deployments, efficient management of factory-floor applications, and scalability. The collaboration underscores Dell’s commitment to providing customers with cutting-edge technologies tailored to meet the evolving demands of modern manufacturing, the company notes.

“The collaboration between Dell Technologies and Hyundai AutoEver marks a significant milestone in the realm of industrial connectivity,” remarks the Hyundai AutoEver Smart Factory team.

“By leveraging real-time data and AI at the edge, our integrated solutions empower manufacturers to drive business growth and achieve unprecedented levels of operational excellence.”

Dell says it is dedicated to offering a diverse ecosystem of partners and independent software vendors (ISVs) to further enhance manufacturers’ capabilities. From expanded digital twin functionalities to advanced quality control solutions and enhanced threat detection, Dell’s partner network aims to deliver technologies that cater to the unique needs of manufacturing environments.

Additionally, Dell is introducing NativeEdge Blueprints powered by Intel’s OpenVINO Developer Toolbox. The integration provides businesses with a choice in deploying and managing AI and machine learning applications at the edge.

“By integrating OpenVINO Developer Toolbox into NativeEdge Blueprints, we are empowering businesses to unlock the full potential of AI at the edge, ushering in a new era of intelligent applications,” says Muneyb Minhazuddin, vice president and general manager of NEX compute and edge AI software at Intel.
