DartPoints provides software-defined data center solution to the University of South Carolina
The University of South Carolina has chosen DartPoints to provide custom software-defined data center solutions for its statewide campuses.

While many public universities are “old school” when it comes to maintaining data center space on campuses, UofSC wanted to improve their disaster recovery capabilities. Third-party data center services also offer other benefits, including significantly reduced wait times on shipments of equipment — a significant benefit for resilience in light of ongoing supply chain issues that have occurred since COVID-19.
“The university had a number of factors that needed to be addressed, including latency, data location, cost, and technical expertise,” said Brad Alexander, CTO at DartPoints. “We were able to work with UofSC’s team to develop a customized solution that addresses all of their needs, and we believe that similar solutions can help other large institutions.”
DartPoints recently expanded its Greenville, South Carolina data center facility to provide improved security and safety for the local businesses. The company has been actively investing in the South Carolina and Upstate region to support the growing technology ecosystem.
