BATM receives a five-year contract to deploy its Edgility solution across the US

BATM Advanced Communications has secured a five-year contract from NGA 911 LLC, a provider of emergency connectivity services in the United States. The agreement involves the deployment of BATM’s Edgility platform, which NGA is utilizing to support critical systems such as 911 call-handling services and the 988 national suicide prevention and mental health crisis lifeline.

NGA 911 reports that implementing the Edgility software solution allows them to implement certain applications closer to end-users. The move has resulted in reduced delays, improved responsiveness, and enhanced availability, the company says. The adoption of the software has enabled NGA 911 to improve the resolution of emergency calls.

BATM Advanced Communications anticipates further orders from NGA as they continue to implement the Edgility software solution in their current deployment areas and expand its deployment across NGA’s network in additional states in the US. The company views this new five-year contract as a direct outcome of its successful prior deployments as per the initial purchase order issued by NGA.

“We expect this momentum to continue as they roll out our solution across more of their extensive network. Along with the increasing interest that we are receiving in Edgility from potential customers globally, we are very excited about the near-term prospects for this solution,” says Moti Nagar, chief executive officer of BATM Advanced Communications.

Telco Systems, a subsidiary of BATM, offers Edgility, a smart edge computing platform that equips IT teams with a software solution for the efficient deployment and administration of edge devices. This solution has been designed to enhance operational efficiency through secure remote management of these edge devices.

The Edgility smart edge computing suite includes the operating system along with a centralized management and orchestration platform. The operating system, known for its high performance and minimal resource footprint, has been optimized for efficient resource utilization. It ensures high throughput, even on edge compute devices with limited resources.

Last year, CityFibre, a provider of fiber network services in Great Britain, also said that it would adopt the Edgility virtual networking and edge compute solution for providing virtualized network services.
