AtlasEdge, PacketFabric partner to enhance cloud connectivity in Europe

AtlasEdge and PacketFabric have announced a strategic partnership to expand cloud access across AtlasEdge’s network.

“This move will broaden our customer offering as demand for agile enterprise connectivity continues to grow and is another endorsement of our partnership-led approach,” says Daniel Thomas, the SVP of sales at AtlasEdge.

AtlasEdge and PacketFabric have partnered to provide AtlasEdge customers with access to PacketFabric’s TruNaas Converge Platform, a secure, agnostic and global platform for fast and reliable cloud services. This partnership will allow customers to benefit from the flexibility and scalability of cloud connectivity.

PacketFabric has deployed a high availability 100GB private network at AtlasEdge locations in Berlin and Hamburg. Both locations will be upgraded from extension locations to full points of presence (PoP).

“We are thrilled to be making PacketFabric’s software-defined and fully programmable, private network available to AtlasEdge’s customers and ecosystem,” states Paul Buttle, the SVP of Sales EMEA & CMO of PacketFabric. “The partnership will deliver scale, performance, programmability, agility, and security without compromise to AtlasEdge’s customers across Europe.”

Company executives say the partnership will further develop as customer demand increases across the AtlasEdge portfolio. PacketFabric plans to extend its network further into AtlasEdge’s Brussels and Madrid locations.

In late 2021, AtlasEdge acquired twelve data centers in tier one and two European markets, including Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, Hamburg, Copenhagen, London, Milan, Paris, Madrid and Zurich.

Moreover, AtlasEdge acquired an 11,000 sq. ft. data center in Leeds in northern England early last year. Later that year, the company acquired Datacenter One, a German data center company. With this acquisition, AtlasEdge acquired four German data centers, two of which are in Stuttgart, one located near Dusseldorf and the last close to Leverkusen.
