1623 Farnam expands Omaha hub as edge traffic surges across the midwest
1623 Farnam, a regional network-neutral edge interconnection and data center operator completed a major facility expansion in Omaha, adding 1.5MW of IT capacity and 280 cabinet-ready positions to meet rising demand for edge deployments.
The expansion includes the final two data halls, now ready for customer move-ins, and supports growth in cloud, AI, content, and broadband markets.
The project was accelerated to address increasing demand for high-performance interconnection and low-latency digital services.
1623 Farnam serves as a key interconnection hub in the Midwest, supporting a diverse ecosystem of cloud, content, carriers, and enterprise customers. The added capacity aims to attract new network, content, and broadband players, enriching the ecosystem and benefiting existing tenants.

The facility is strategically positioned to address east-west and north-south latency challenges, critical for AI workloads and edge computing.
